Services
C3BI Platform Teams provide :
- Technical support
- Bioanalysis / Scientific expertise
- Data storage and backup (during the whole duration of the project).
We strongly encourage you to contact the Hub
BEFORE acquiring experimental data. This will allow you to benefit from a better statistical/computational advice and a more effective scheduling of your project.
Recommendations and best practice guidelines for setting up statistically relevant experimental projects can be found here (todo).
Types of projects and duration
Submitted projects are classified as short (less than 1 month of cumulated workload), or long (more than 1 month). Extensions beyond one year are possible but need the agreement of the steering committee.
Review process
Submitted projects are reviewed within two weeks by the Hub project committee, composed of the Hub co-heads (Christophe Malabat and Marie-Agnès Dillies) and group leaders (Claudia Chica, Alexis Criscuolo, Amine Ghozlane, Nicolas Maillet, Gaël Millot, Hervé Ménager and Natalia Pietrosemoli). The project committee:
- identifies the project type
- suggests one or more Hub members that are best suited to carry out the project according to the project needs and hub members expertise, skills and availability
Projects can be declined if:
- the Hub does not have the expertise to carry out the project
- the data are of poor quality (e.g. strong technical biases or confounding effects as a result of a poor experimental design)
Projects can be delayed if no Hub member is available at the time of submission.
In any case you will be contacted by email within two weeks.
Long Projects
Long projects are submitted to the steering committee of the C3BI. Projects are examined on the fly, but the committee can ask for a more formal examination during a committee meeting. Such long projects must then be submitted using this dedicated form (
download form). The steering committee meets three times a year, usually in February, June and November. It is composed of Christophe D'Enfert, Olaya Rendueles Garcia, Romain Levayer, Simmonetta Gribaldo, Roberto Toro and Patrick Trieu-Cuot.
